BAN THE STICKY NOTE!

BAN THE STICKY NOTE!

The Trick To Labeling Your DrawerBoxes

Do your DrawerBoxes look like this with sticky notes to identify every drawer? Or have you come up with an even more arcane system to change labels as time goes on?

We get it. You wouldn't be a collector if your collection wasn't ever-expanding. And as collections grow books shift from drawer to drawer. So it makes no sense to write in the description box printed on the front of each drawer. But sticky notes look sloppy and can fall off. But we have the perfect solution:

The description boxes fit the width of a business card exactly. So clear self-adhesive Business Card Pockets will work perfectly. There are several brands out there but her is a brand we particularly like -- and cheap at $16 for 100:

And Avery makes blank business card forms that you can use to print cards. We found these readily available at office supply stores. As your collection grows you can simply switch the cards out.

Even better, Avery provides an online template (#5871) that you can use to add logos for publishers or titles.

Don't want the cards to overlap the top border on the description box? All you have to do is trim 3/8" off the top and bottom of each card before inserting them into the pocket. They will fit perfectly in the description box. Easy, organized and easy to switch as your collection grows!
